What is Morbid moron?

Morbid Moron Productions is a creative production company founded by filmmaker and artist Devyn Nace. Built from a desire to create without restraint, Morbid Moron exists at the intersection of film, art, and experimentation.

We do it all—film, music videos, scriptwriting, short-form content, and post-production. Every project begins with curiosity and a need to challenge what feels familiar. Our work thrives on contrast: beauty and discomfort, humor and darkness, chaos and control.

Morbid Moron was born out of a belief that art should provoke thought, not just entertain. Each piece aims to break form, push limits, and explore what happens when you strip away convention. This is more than a production company—it’s an evolving space for ideas that unsettle and inspire.

Meet Devyn Nace

I am a filmmaker, artist, and editor—driven by a need to create work that unsettles, confronts, and lingers. As the founder of Morbid Moron Productions, I began this venture as a vessel to capture my vision: films that fracture traditional storytelling, push against comfort, and force audiences to sit with what they’d rather turn away from.

A recent graduate of San Francisco State University’s Cinema program, my work lives in the spaces between the grotesque and the beautiful, the experimental and the narrative. I aim to craft films that are not just watched, but experienced—challenging, thought-provoking, and impossible to ignore.
