“I have long been fascinated by the ways people become complicit in their own downfall. Addiction provides the backdrop for this story, but the film is ultimately about self-destruction—how people knowingly make choices that distance them from survival, connection, and themselves. Through this project, I hope to explore these contradictions in a way that is emotionally honest rather than purely cautionary.”
Constriction is a 15-minute experimental narrative thriller that follows four friends as mounting debt to a dangerous drug dealer causes their loyalty to unravel. Blending a grounded narrative with experimental visual storytelling, the film explores addiction, betrayal, self-destruction, and the psychological collapse that occurs when fear overtakes morality.
